RANGITATA BRIDGE RAGING CLUB.

The annual general meeiing of members of this Club and of those interested in holding races at the Rnngitata Bridge this season, was held at Wheelhand’s Bridge Hotel on Saturday evening last, , The attendance was limited, Mr P. Lorgelly was voted to the chair, and read the advertisement calling the meeting, BALANCE-SHEET. The balance-sheet, as read by the secretary, showed that the Club began the year with a deficit of about £9, During the year the receipts had been £6B 17s 6d, and the expenditure £6l 13s, leaving a balance to credit of £2 4s 6d, which was considered highly satisfactory. The balance-sheet was adopted. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The election of officers was them proceeded with and resn'ted as follows ; President, Mr Button ; vice-president, Mr S, Rae; committee, Messrs F. Petbam, W, Wheelband, F. Bull, J,

Armstrong, J. Bull, T, Corbet'. F, |Lorgolly, J. Heney, W. Lawson, and D, Denoon, NSW MEMBERS, ! Ten new members of the Club were elected. SUBSCRIPTIONS. It was decided that the annual subscription of 10s 6d become due and payabla on the Ist December in each year, and the meeting terminated. COMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the new committee was 'then held, when Messrs Lorgelly, 'Perham, Wheelband, Armstrong, J. Bull, and F. Bull were present, Mr Lorgelly was elected chairman, i RESIGNATION, The secretary and treasurer, Mr A. :Rae, tendered bis resignation on the Agrounds of not having sufficient time at Ibis disposal to carry out the duties 'properly. , , j He was asked to leconsider bis idecision, the members remarking that ithe loss of his services would be a real ;blow to the Club. It was in a very Igreat measure due to his untiring exertions that the Club was in the 'satisfactory condition that they now 'found themselves. Mr Rae said that he could, not change his decision, as he could mot possibly spare the time to attend to the ! post. He would always take an interest 'in the Club and render every assistance in his power on the day of the races and otherwise. ; The resignation was accepted with regret, and Mr T. Corbett was elected to the vacant position. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to Mr Rae for his services. HANDIOAPPBR AND STARTER. Mr Corbett was voted an honorarium of £1 Is for his past services in this position, and was again elected to the post. A vote of thanks to the chairman 'terminated the meeting.
