The Inspector of Folios at Wellington hai received a telegram stating tbat a rabbiter named Galbraith is supposed to have been drowned on Thursday lait in Oahangn river. The man’s hone, saddled, but without itirrupe, and the leather* milling, wai found about two milei below the crossing, and a number of ferret* which Galbraith had been carrying ware found drowned about the tame place. The body has not been recovered. The teachers of the Auckland educational district have presented an illuminated address to Mr B. J. O’Sullivan, who recently resigned his poaition.
