| The funeral of Sir Anthony Musgrave took place tc-day, with military honours, and the ceremony presented an imposing spectacle. The sreets of the city were crowded with spectators. October 11. The tramway' strike has been settled satisfactorily to both sides. Perth, October 11. The Legislative Council wbb opened yesterday. The Governor's speech announced that there wuu'd probably be a deficit of £30,000 at the tnd of the financial year, an! that it was proposed to meet the deficit by the issue of Treasury bil's to the amount of £50.000. The speech referred hop fully to the prospect's of the colony and iis resources, which were expanding, whilst business was being conducted on a,sound basis.
