GERALDINE LAWN TENNIS CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the members; of this Club was held in the M'ecixamcs' Institute, Geraldine, on Wednesday evening last. Mr A, E. Hawkins was in the chair. MINUTES. The report and balance-sheet, as submitted'by the -Secretary, showed the Club to have started last year •with a credit balance of £2' Is lOd. SSy-. -!'•! . xhe question of forming a croquet lawn in connection with the Club was discußse.d,and it was finally decided that the Club was not in a position to form the lawn, and to purchase; the necessary material. It was also decided not to purchase any racquets" for the use of the members. Committee Meeting. At a meeting of the new Committee, held after the annual meeting an offer from Mr G. Ward to mow the court fortnightly for six months for £4 was accepted. The opening day was fixed for Tuesday, 13. It was decided that the ladies day be Tuesday, the same as last year. -It' - was atari decided to put the courts into repair at once, also to hold

two Club tournaments during the season, and to arrange matches with other Clubs. ! Accounts to the amount of 7s 6d were passed, and the meeting terminated.
