London, October 6. A miner’s agent, speaking at a meeting of men in Derbyshire, said 300,000 colliers were prepared to go on strike, and it would be the greatest strike ever known, Sydney, October 9. At a meeting to-day of mine masters it was decided to follow a policy of inactivity.
