Both Kemp and Searle have accepted a challenge from Teemer’s backers for a match against the latter by the winner of the forthcoming Kemp-Searle match. Beach has declined Banian's challenge. New "York, October 1, Fox, of the Police Gazette, offers to back Teemer against Kemp for 5000 dollars a side, and allow 1000 for expenses if the race is rowed in America.
