PRIDE OF TAIERI was foaled on the 21st November, 1885. He is a beautiful Dapple Brown, atands 16} hands high, with immense clean flat bone, and hair of the best quality. He gained 2ud prise at the Taiari Show, 1886, as a yearling. His Sira, Sir George Gray, imported from Scotland, was bred by William Grey, Esq , Muinoraig, Kircudbright; sired by the famous Clydesdale stallion Larges Jock, 414, dam Bell by Prince Alfred, 618,0.5.8. His dam Jenny, 93, N Z 8.8., bred by Messrs Fleming and Hedley, Oamarn, sire Renfrew Jock, 135, N.Z 8.8. As the above will show, Pride of Taieri is descendad from the best Clydesdale blood on record.
