A young man named Henry D. Pianto, a compositor was killed on the Roslyn (Dunedin) cable tram line on Wednesday evening. It appears the deceased was caught by a gust of wind, just as he was emerging from a catting, and before he could recover himself he was blown on to the lino and struck by the car he had been, walking alongside of. Both his parents are dead, and his uncle resides in Timaru.
Holloway’S Pills and Ointment.— ; Though it is impossible, in this climate of changing temperature, to prevent ill-health altogether, yet its form and frepuenoy may be much mitigated by the early adoption of remedial measures. When hoarseness, cough, thick breathing, and the attending slight fever indicate irritation of the throat or chest, Holloway’s Ointment should be rubbed upon these parts without delay, and his Fills taken in appropriate doses, to promote its curative action. No catarrhs or sore throats can resist these remedies. Printed directions envelope every package of Holloway’s medicaments, which are suited to all ages and conditions, and to every ordinary disease, to which humanity is liable.
