AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT.
Messrs J. Mundell and 00. report for tho week ending Bth September, 1858, as follows
At the Geraldine monthly sale on Wednesday there was a good entry of stock, which was submitted to the largest attendance of buyers we have yet seen at these yards. The prices realised were extremely satisfactory to vendors. The totals yarded were—243l sheep, 105 head'of oattle, 52 pigs. The whole of tbe sheep and pigs were sold, and the major portion of the cattle, at the following prices, vis. - Sheep—Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes (fat), 15s 7d. 14s 6d, 13s 6d to 12s 6d; crossbred ewes (in lamb), Hi; 2-tooth crossbreds, 12s 7d j crossbred hoggets, 12* 7d, 12s, 10s Id to 10s.
Oattle—Two-year-old eteeri and heifers, £3l6s to £2 10s; yearling steers and heifers, £1 6s to £1 ; cows (springing), £4 15s to £3. Figs—Strong stores, 16s 6d to 10s 7d; small, 10s to 8i 3d.
