The Senate is debiting a Bjlllo ba introduced in the House of Representatives to give effect to President Cleveland’s views on the fisheries question. It is also asserted that Sir John McDonald, Premier of Canada, will eventually give way, and concede the freedom of the water-ways under the pretext of loyalty to Imperial interests.
