[We are a Tory because we corrected the spoiling and the grammar and omitted supeifluous nutter io Mr Edgeler's letter >ibout the children and the dock, To be Liberal we are asked to "print every word of this letter." We have dona so. Mr Edgeler accuses ua of having opposed the meeting called by him to form Arowhenua into a Town District. That is pretty cool, after all the trouble we took to assist the meeting, and after die meeting giving us a special vote of thanks for having given that assistance. Those who i had anything to do with those meet-1 in<{S will see how untruthful Mr Edgeler's accusation is. We also aseiated Mr Edgeler in his election, and now he turns round on un. It is not trua that we told anyone to hold land which did Mot belong to hirr ; neither are any of the other accusation? made true. If Mr Edgeler wants any more lei tars to appear he must tell the truth, and do it in a oiyil and polite manner. We are not so liberal at to allow Mr Edgeler to make groundless charges against us in these columns. We feel as keen an interest in Arowhenua as we do in Temuki, and we think to amalgamate both towns would bo to their mutual advantage. Let not Mr Edgeler flitter himself that the people of Temuka are anxious to amalgamate. We anticipate greater opposition from them than from the .Arowhenua people. It would be altogether to the advantage of Arowhenua to amalgamate now, because when Arowhenua spends the little money she has Temuka will not have anything to do with her then. Arowhenua would do well to think of this. As regards any interest we may have in the matter, we would get more out of the two Boards than one, but we are looking to what would be the best for all—especially what would be best for Arowhenua. We shall decline to insert any future letter from Mr Edgeler, which exceeds in length half of the foregoing,—Tie Editob.}
