MURDER BY A CHINAMAN.

Sydney, July 30. A sanguinary and fatal encounter between a Chinaman and a European occurred at Blacktown to-day. Some unpleasantness arose between a man named Morris and a Chinaman named Ah Loong in his employ. When stooping oyer a bank Morris was struek on the head with a lump of wood by the Chinaman. Morris ran away, saying, "My God, I am done for," and Mrs Morris, who interposed, was struck on the arm by a tomahawk. She went for assistance and when she returned Morris was lying dead with a hole in his skull, inflicted by a pickaxe. The Chinaman was also badly wounded in the head, apparently with a similar weapon. Morris and the Chinaman must have fought for some time as sticks, lomabawks, picks, and hoes were strewn about the place, and everything was covered with blood.
