The statements referred to by Lord Wo'eeley as being made by Lord George Hamilton were mads on the strength of information furnished to the latter by the Transport Department. Lord Wolselnj's fears were ridiculed by ex,jjirls at the Admiralty, and it would be moie becoming on the part of the noble lord to guide rather than to chastise the Government. The Duke of Cambridge expressed the opinion tha*. there was immediate danger to be feared in the direction indicated by Lord Wohe'ey. i
