OODFELLOWSHIP.
The installation of officers for the ensuing term of the Victoria Lodge, No. 19, Geraldine, took place on Friday evening last. Bro. G. H, Patrick, D.0.G.M., performed the ceremony, assisted by several P.G.'s. The fol- - lowing officers were installed:— N.GL, Bro.E. Hardy; V.G., Bro. W. W. Pye; Secretary, Bro. A. Fisher; Treasurer, Bro. T. Bowket; "Warden, Bro. A. Baker; Conductor, Bro. E. Millard; 1.G., Bro. W. M. Patrick; E.H.S. to N.G., Bro. J. W. Pye; L.H.S. to N.G., Bro. W. Coltman; B.H.S. toV.G, Bro. J. Pye, senr.; L.H.S. to V.G.,8r0. Kalaugher; S.S., Bros. Dierck and Prouting; Auditors, Bros. J. W. Pye, W. Coltman, and J. Pizzey; Yisiting Committee, Bros. E. Prouting, C. Bamble, and J. Pye, aenr.; Standing Committee, the N.G., V.Gk, Secretary, Treasurer, and i.D.G-.M. A dinner, prepared by Bro. E. Taylor, was held afterwards, to which between twenty and thirty persons sat down. The chair w»s occupied by the N.G., Bro.E. Hardy, supported on his right by the P.G\, Bro. Cunningham, and on the left by P.G. Bro. "Williams. After dinner the uiual loyal and patriotic toasts Were drunk, "and also the Sovereign* Grand Lodge of America, and the Grand Lodge of N«w Zealand; the latter being coupled with the name of the D.DG.M., Bro. G. H. Patrick, who responded. "The retiring officers" was proposed by Bro. J. Cunningham, who heartily congratulated the Lodge upon its satisfactory condition. During the last six months of the year they had paid away for aick pay and doctors' fees about £37, and had expended a considerable sum Ja improvement! to the Lodge property and had at the same time reduced the small overdraft they had at the bank at the beginning of the year. He was glad to be able to say that the business of the Lodge had been conducted on a purely business footing, and he hoped the same would continue to be the case.--Bro. J. "Williams re- ■ sponded, and urged upon the , young] members of the Lodge to the same regularly, and work themselves up in the Order. As they grew older they would see more and more the beauties of Oddfellowship, which he contended was a grand Order. Songs were rendered by Bros. J. Williams and W. Eadford. The "present N.iG." was coupled with 'the name of Bro. E. Hardy, who responded, and "The V.G." withthatof Bro; W. Pye, who also responded. Songs, Bros. J. Pye and E. O'Neil. "'"The sick visiting officer" was responded to by Bro. E. Prouting. ' "Songs, Bros. W. Coltman, Williams, and Prouting; reading, Bro. Patrick. ' " The Past Grands" was responded to ri by Bro. Coltman, and " The absent ' brethren" by Bro. J, Cunningham. v «fThe Press," " Secretary," " The Dabies" (new members), "The Past Grand," Bro. Williams, " Eetiring "Warden," "Conductor," "Host Taylor," and "The visitors" were all toasted, and the toasts duly responded to. Songs were also sung by Bros. Eadford and Kalaugher. The singing of " Auld Lang Sj ne" and the " National Anthem" terminated another of the pleasant reunions of the Geraldine Lodge of Oddfellows.
