Staveley, for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, reports on the Tinwald sale, 3rd inst., as follows :—'• Average entry of stock, including nearly 4000 sheep, and a.good attendance. Though there were-, buyers for all Borts present values were not so firm, and the sa'e was easier throughout. Fat crossbfd ewes, 9s; fat merino ewe°, 4s 9d ; forward mixed oi-shreds, 10s Id and 10i 8d; two-tooth halfbrfJ wethers, 9s 6d. We sold mixed ages crossbred *wes in Jamb,. 8s 2d."; twotooth mixed halfbreda . broneht : 7s 8d and 9s 6d ; mixed nqes, crossbred a, 8s ; crossbred lambs, 7s Jd; Cattle were dull, Fat cows and heifers, £4 ani £4 7s 6d'; steers, £4 15s. i.
