REPORTED DEATH OF MR H.M. STANLEY.
London, June 22. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent, wiring from Loancla, states that Mr H, M. Stanley, in an encounter wnb rebels, was wounded by an arrow. He asserts that Stanley is surrounded by hostile tribes, and that two-thirds of his followers had either been killnl or had deserted him. A relief expedition has started to his rescu-. Later. Further reports to hand state that Stanley has been compelled to use the reserve provisions inteuded for Emin Bey. Major Barter's efforts to organise a relief expedition have faied. June 23. reports are being received aTSuakim that a white man (probably Stanley) has arrived at Bakulghazie, after conquering the country through which be passed.
