The station-owner made some inquiries as to the whereabouts of,toe man, which led to the ira- . presaioD being formed in the minds of - several people that the man was Boberta. A number consequently went to the hotel; and, finding out the supposed convict, " shook hands with him and shouted.for him. Roberts took his treatment in good pert, end, after he bad been made to imbibe pretty'freely, bis pockets were tiled with bread end cheese, and he wai sent along the road with, ~4"™:;the good withes of his newly met £; J friends.'
