. ..■,, Berlin, June 3. Sensation has been caused throughout Europe by the publication of tho details of a plot to assassinate the Crown Prince* and Prince Bismarck. Tae Berlin police have-been informed that several mechanicians arid electricians in London are constructing infernal machines with which the assassination was to be effected. Two youths resident in Berlin were,'it is said, -chosen' to commit the deed. As yet no arrests hav<3 been made. , Owing .to the Emperor Frederick's action in adding a rescript to his assent to the Quinquennial Diet law,; urging that there should be freedom in voting, the Ministry have threatened to ! resign rather than promulgate the law in the direction requested. His Majesty the Emperor has ordered the publication of a new law providing for the Quinquennial .Diet to. be postponed, and has written Herr Yon Puttkamer, Minister of the Interior, enjoining him to prevent official pressure being brought bear in elections. It is rumored that Bismarck resents the Emperor's action in respect to the letter. His Majesty desires' to , promulgate the new law and the, above letter simultaneously, but, Bismarck and the Ministry object to publication of the letter as reflecting upon themselves, and threaten to resign. ; ~
