Edwards, Kenningtou Works, near Invercargill, in which ho calls attention to his own make of gorso knives. He Is, so far as we know, the only man in tbe colony making gorse knives, and we hope that his enterprise will meet with success. Mr Edwards called at our office yesterday and showed some of these knives. They are of various makes and sizes, and appear to be much superior to the imported article while the price is less. These knives have practically driven the imported article out of Southland, and we hope that before long they will drive them out of New Zealand, Mr Edwards gives a guarantee with •■very knife, and if it does not turn out as it ought, it is taken back, and another giyen in its place. That is more than is given with imported articles, and therefore the advantage is altogether on the side of the locally made. We hope Mr.Bdwards will have success, and that tbe public will give the articles ha has produced at least a fair trial.
