CONCERT AT WOODBURY.

A concert in aid’ of the building fund for the. new Pteabytarien Church at Woodbury was -held on Friday evening last. The evening waa beautifully fine, which ho* doubt contributed greatly towards the success of the gathering. The schoolroom waa crowded to excess, a great many persons from Geraldine being present. Mr F, R. Flatmau occupied the ohair, and apologised for the .absenpe of the Rev. G. Barclay, who was to have presided, but Vus absent through indisposition. A i good programme had baien, prepared.' The'? opening item, a pianoforte duet, was played by the Misses Dean, and loucltyApplauded. “The. ; Sailor's Knot,’’ & pretty song by Miss Meredith, WaS capitally given. Miss Dean gave the song "Only Dreams ”in fine voice. “ The Poacher's Widow,” a Tory.pensive song, was contributed by Mrs Burn, and won hearty applause. Mrs Thompson was /Very successful with the song ‘‘Maggie's Secret.” A comic song followed, anclwaa encored.
