FALL IN THE SILVER MARKET.
Melbourne, April 18.
The silver market is terribly depressed, and all stocks have experienced a heavy fall.
April 19. Broken Bill shares are at £228. Sydney, April 19,
The. fall on the stock exchange in silver stock is estimated at £710,000. Broken Bill shares are from £266 to £275.
It is believed that the shrinkage of stock in this and other colonies yesterday amounted in the aggregate to a million and a half. The market to-day shows a slightly improved tendency.
