AUSTRALIAN MARKETS,
Sydney, April 17,
A shipment of horses by the Wnihora from Auckland, was submitted to auction to-day. Light horses averaged £25, and draught horses £l6. The market was dead, and mauy of tire horses were passed in.
EN&LISH MARKETS, London. April 15, Tallow—Mutton. 26s 6rl ; beef, 24a 6d. Leather—The market is firm at from 9LJ to 10.1. Wheat—An Australian March shipment of 3600 quarters has been sold on the Continent at 33s 3d. April 16. An April shipment of Australian wheat, comprising 80,500 quarters, has been sold, to arrive, at 83s, At the wool sales to-day, prices were unchanged. Crossbreds are very firm at last quotations.
