The Russian Press, in discussing the proposed marriage of Prince Alexander to Princess Victoria, express the opinion that the betrothal is simply the result of English intrigue to sow dissension between Russia and Germany and reinstate Prince Alexander on the Bulgarian Throne. Constantinople, April 11. The Turkish military cordon on the Roumelian frontier has been withdrawn. It is asserted by the Turkish authorities that this is done as a sanitary precaution. Vienna, April 11. The Vaterland, a newspaper published in this city, states that England’s navy and army are hopelessly weak, and are inadequate to protect the scattered Empire. It considers that 1,000,000 troops would be able to capture London.
