Adelaide, April 6
Goodfellow, the well-known athlete, who fired a revqlver at his sweetheart, but fortunately missed her, was charged with the offence at the Supreme Court. The prisoner alleged as his reason for the act that the girl had jilted him. He was sentenced to seven years' hard labor. During the trial the revolver, which was produced in Court, accidentally exploded, the 6hot narrowly missing the Judge.
