ASHBURTON MARKETS
Mr E. G. Slaveley, for the Npw Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, L'Uiiied, reports on the Ashburton sale, 20th inst., as follows there was a large attendance of farmers and others, and about 7000 sheep yarded, The sale was quiet, tut most of the Id's were sold. Fat crossbred wethers made 8s 4i and 9s 6d, ditto ewes 6s 8d and fjs, fat lambs 5s 4d. We sold fat merino ewes off Lauriston Eelalo at 3s 6d, forward mixed merinos made 4a 7d, store crossbred Lin ha at 3a 61, and cull ditto at gs Id, good condition crossbred ewes at 4s 6d nod Jss Bd, and cu I ditto at 2s 3J and 2s 6d, full moujih merino ewes Is 9d and 2s 6d, two-tooth halfbred ewes 5k 4d, Cattle were generally inferior, Bf)d dull of sale.
