London, Feb. 16. It is expected that the debate on Mr Parnell’s amendment to the Address inReply to the Speech from the 'lhrone will close on Friday, Father Stephens and Mr Jasper Pyne, M.P.. have been convicted on charges ot inciting to resistance to the Sheriff, each being sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Notice ot appeal was given in each case. February 17. In the House of Commons last night Mr W. O’Brien, member for Cork, N.E., made a violent attack on Mr A. J. Balfour and his administration since assuming the Chief Secretaryship of Ireland, The Right H ,on. John Morley followed, and in the course of hie remarks said be exulted at the failure of the Government policy in Ireland, February 19. Sir George Olto Trevelyan, speaking at Edinburgh, stated that the introduction into Parliament of a measure dealing with Home Rule might be expected this session, and would contain some of the intentions of the Bill imroduced by Mr Gladstone on April Bth, 1886.
