Dublin, Jan. 26.
Proceedings have teen taken to quash
the inquest held at Milchelstown, in which a verdict of wilful murder was returned against County Inspector Brownrigg and Constables Kirwan, Ga\en, Doran, C. Reader, and Brennan, and warrants issued for their arrest, The grounds on which it is sought to upset the inquiry are that the coroner, Mr R. Rice, was partial; also that certain of the jurors were biassed, it having been shown that they were actively engaged in the riot in which the three victims upon whom the inquest was held were killed, and that, therefore, the inquiry was not a legal one. A large force of police and military has been despatched to Gnlcurragh, as it is leered that bloodshed will result over the arrest of Father Stephens.
