THE KAKAHU FOOTBRIDGE.
TO THE EDITOR,
Sir,-— The Geraldine Road Board b ive been nearly two years shuffling ( 'er building a footbridge at Kakahu, ] itting it off with one paltry excuse t id then another, and I see . .by your i port of their last meeting they are i ow bugging the Tory idea that the proposed Tory alterations in the Education Act will close our schools. You may tell them that it wont make the least difference to the Kakahu Bush School, and that they had better go on with the bridge while the river is so conveniently low, or take Cromwell’s advice to the Tory Parliament, “ Begone, and make room for honeater men.”—l am, etc.,
Wit. L. Duncan. Kakahu Bush, January 14 th, 1888.
