At the Supreme Oeurt, Christchurch, on Wednesday, Robert Kent was convicted of larceny and sentenced to three years’ penal servitude. Michael and Patrick Clarkin, charged with larceny, were acquitted. Arebibald Matlock was sentenced to six months’ hard labor for embszzlomeut. Charles Christian Sommers, charged with inciting Tolls Laura Isatt to commit araon, was acquitted. On Thursday, C. 0. Sommers, charged with inciting Thos.
