DUNEDIN PRODUCE MARKETS.
The following is the report for (he week ending Wednesday ;
Wheat—There is no improvement in the tone of the market. The quantity on hand of Southern is very small, and hardly any to come forward. Millers are chiefly supplied from Northern ports; but their demands are entirely confined to the very finest for mixing. Medium, of which there is an over supply, is difficult to place at any price; and even prime samples are only taken up ih limited quantities. Good to prime, milling (nominal), 3s 6d to 3s 8d; extra prime velvet and tuscan, in limiited quantities, 3s 9d to 3s lOd; .medium to good, 3s 3d to 3s sd; inferior and fowls’ wheat, 2s 6d to 3s 3d (ex store). • Oats—A fair demand both for shipment and local requirements still exists. For best bright milling, Is 8d to. Is B|d ; : shoft bright feed, Is to ls 8d; danish and medium, Is 7d to Is 7id; inferior to medium, Is 4d to Is 6|d (ex store).
Sheepskins and Hides—No sales were held this week, . Tallow The demand continues firm. Quotations are; —For inferior, 10s to 14s (medium to good, I4s 6d to 16s 6d; prime mutton, 17s to 18s; rough fat—inferior, 6s to 7s 6d; medium to good, 8s to 10s.
DUNEDIN STOCK MARKETS. At the Burnside Yards on Wednesday The-following business was transacted
Fat Cattle—l 42 yarded for to-day’s requirements, consistin g of all qualities Prices were if anything a shade higher than last week’s sales- Best bullocks brought from £7 to £8 16s ; ordinary, £4 to £6 15s; cows, £3 5s to,£6. — Messrs Eeid, Maclean and Co. sold for Waimate Estate, 12 very prime bullocks from £7 10a to £9 7s 6d (top price). Fat Sheep—2ol4 were penned, of which 280 were merinos, the balance crossbreds, from good to prime quality. Best crossbred wethers brought 8s 6d to 9s 6d; ordinary, 7s 3d to 8s 3d ; best crossbred ewes, 8s 6d to 10s; ordinary, 7s to 8s; 'merino wethers, 6s 9d to 7s; do ewes, to 6s 3d. — Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. sold for Mr F. M, Eickmaa (Waimate), 74 Shropshire Down ewes at 8s 9d; for Mr Andrew Grant (Temuka), 64 crossbred ewes and wethers at from 8s 3d to 8s 6d; for Mr Chas. Hill (Waitald),’ 120 halfbred wethers at from 9s 3d to 7s 9d. Messrs.-Eeid, Maclean,; and Co.sold for "Waimate Estate 132 prime crossbred ewes from 7s 9d to 10s (top price for ewes) ; for Mr William Grant (Willow Lodge), 21 halfbred wethers at 9s 3d, and 42 crossbred ewes at 9s 3d.
Fat Lambs—34o penned, consisting of all quality. Competition fairly brisk. Prices ranged from-. 5s to 8s 3d; one small pen,'very prime, reached 9s.
Pigs penned. Competition was brisk. Suckers sold at from 4a to 14s 6d ; stores, 17s to 21s; porkeis, 21s t 0.25 5; bacouers, 35s to 50s.
ENGLISH MARKETS

Wheat is Gd deafer. Flour is nominally at 26s to 275. There are, however, but,.small supplies. Leather, ll|cl, the market is steady. 'S he tin market is firm at £l6B. Silver is 3s Bjd per ounce. , Galvanised iron, £lss ss.
Wool arrivals to date number, 72.000 bales, and it is probable that 12.000 additional will arrive in time for the, next, sales. The tone of the market is quiet but steady.
