Seeds of all kind i should be fully ripe when lathered, but it it most important to harvest them bb toon es thoy are rips. For keeping small quantities of seeds, piper bags me preferable to oloth, as they afford better pro teotion against moisture and insects, Always mark oaoh package with the name of tho seed -contained in it, and the year in whioh it grew Gold does not injure the vitality of aeeda, but moisture is detrimental to all kinds. Melon, oaoumber, squash and pumkin should be taken only from ripe.perfeotihaped specimens. In a small way the seeds may bs simply taken out spread on tin plates and dried. larger quantities bare to be washed before drying to remove the slime that adheres to them. When the seeds are thoroughly dried, lie them in bags, and keep in a dry place secure from rati or mice. Beets, parsnips, turnips, carrots onions, cauliflower and cabbage will not pro* duce seed until the seoond year. When the seed is ripe, cut the stalks and put under cover to dry j then beat out the seeds and tie in paper bags.
