AUCTIONEERS' REPORT. TIMAKU. Messrs Gracio, Maclean . and Adam report for the fortnight ending Saturday as follows : Horses—Our entry on Saturday las! and again to-day was fairly good numerically, but the quality in both draught and iight horaca (with a few exceptions) was inferior and not in demand. Young draughts possessing substance and quality are enquired for and saleable up to £25. Our sales arc : —Medi am to good draughts £l6 to £22 10s, inferior £8 10s to £l2, hackney (medium) up to £ls 10.", light and weedy £3 to £6 10s. Cattle —At Pleasant Point, en the 7th in: t., there was a full entry of store cattle, and only only a few head of fat. We sold 52 head at—for calves 19s, yearlings 26s to 30.3, steers and heifnrs 2 to 3 years old £2 2s 6d io £3 6% store cows £2 10s to £3 10s. Sheep—'At Pleasant Point, the entry was confined t .o a few stores, ani hut little business was don?. At Washdyke this welt fat sheep w«re represented by three small lots only, and consequently the local butchers did not get their wants supplied, Young store sheep off the shears fire io. fair demand. We sold at auction] and privately 36 fat ewes at 12-t 61, 300 shorn ewes at 8s to 8s 3d, 203 owes and lambs at 7s, 430 ewes and lambs anil 40 fat lamb?. Pigs—We huva disposed of ab nit, 40 at 8s 6d for winners, and 10s to 12s 6d for slips. Skins—At our regular sale on Wednesday. wo catalogued and sold 2200 at —for dry merinos 5d to 54ji per ib, tochers' crossbreds at 5a 5s lid, Prices throughout were ab:iUt equal to la.st.vaie.
