AUSTEALIAN MAEKET3. Melbourne, Nov. 7. Dalgetty and Co, held a very successful sale of wool this afternoon at ttvir rooms, The catalogue comprised 2500 bales, The attendance of buyers was large, the competition being vry animated. 2300 balps were disposed of during the sale at highly satisfac'ory prices. Superior greasy .merinos realised as much as 13d per lb, being the highest price obtained during the present eeason; good light eruditions! merino brought 101 ; medium quality is high as B|-d, inferior descriptions as much as 7d per lb, pi"ces sold up to 9d, croßsbreds to 9£d, gond scoured merinos realised as much as 1 per lb. Messrs Dalgetty and Co. up to the present have, disposed of 6200 ba'es this season. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, hare received the following cable message from London, dated November sth, 1887 : Tallow Market strmg. Good; mutton and beef tallows are worth respectively. 24s and 23* per c<*t.
