AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT.
GERALDINE. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ending Saturdsy--sth Nov., 1887, "3 follows At the Geraldine monthly sale on Wednesday a large number of entries of stock came to hand, especially in cattle, and the bulk of the stock was disposed of a satisfactory prices. The totals yarded for the sale were—l7s head of cattle, 1107 sheep, and 36 pigs. Prices realised were as follow: —Sheep : Crossbreds, light-weights, mixed sexes, 11s 8d; crossbreds, 2-tooth stores, 8s 6d to 10s; hoggets, 8s 6d. Cattle: Cows, fat, £4; springers, sale readily effected, £2 17s 6d, £3, £3 15s, £4 10s, to £5 10s, Two-year-old steers and heifers, £2 to £2 ss; yearlings, £1 2s 6d to £1 6a ; calves, 18s. Figs: Small stores, 7s 6d to 9s 6d. At the South Canterbury Yards on Thursday we sold 6 fat bullocks at £7.
