Mr Herbert Gladstone, addressing a meeting, said Government had given the Irish people just causa for revolution.
O’Brien has been removed to the gaol at Belfast, The Mayor of Cork is seeking to influence the treatment to which the prisoner should be subjected.

It is announced that O’Brien was removed from Cork gaol on account of the visiting justices of that establishment being pronounced Nationalists, and having threatened to interfere with prison discipline.
