Charles Christian Sommers was committed for trial at Christchurch, on Tuesday, oh a -'charge of inciting Tolla Laura Izett and Sarah Izett to set fire to their stationer’s shop in Colombo street. The evidence of Mrs and Miss Izett, corroborated by Louis Carmini, telegraphist, was that in January last, Mrs Izett owed Sommers £253 for goods. Several times he tried to persuade her to burn her shop, bo that he might get his money out of the insurance.
