The following is an extract ,fronv : a private telegram received in,Christchurch on Tuesday afternoon, from Mr James Durward. who is now in Auckhnd representing a Christchurch syndicst* with the view of acquiring additional interests in the neighborhood of Waitoa. Mr Darward telegraphs :—“ Don’t sell my shares; would not be fair, as I am now satisfied that somelhing is wrong.” Tliis refers to the Waitoa Goldmihing Company (Smith’s land), in which .
