The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company, Limited, of New Zealand reports on the local grain market as follows ; Shipping wheat ie in steady demand without activity at 3s 4d to 3s 5d per bushel. Malting barley is difficult to sell even with a slight reduction in price, 6« to 5s 6d per bushel being the ruling value. New Zealand feed oats are without marked, if any, change in price, at 2s 8d to 2s 9d per bushel. New Zealand oats, milling descriptions, are dull of sale at 2s 9d to 2s lOd per bushel. New Zealand oats under bond are quoted at 2s to 2s Id per bushel. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Oct. 15. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,560,000 quarters, and for the Continent 197,000. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is unchanged at 33s 6d. New Zealand wheat is at t 3os to 335, according to quality. Adelaide flour remains at 235. Australian talllow of average quality is unchanged—at 22s 6d for beef, and 23s 6d for mutton.

New Zealand frozen mutton of good quality is quoted at 4d per lb. Kauri gum, best selected and transparent, is selling at £l3. Oct. 17. There is no quotable change to report in the values of colonial breadstuffs and tallow.
