ENGLISH MARKETS.
Londok, Oct. 3, Colonial breadstnffs and tallow are without quotable alteration. At the wool sales to day 10,200 bales were offered. The market was stead/, but there was not an Active demand. ASHBURTON MARKETS. Mr E. G. Staveley (for New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports on Tinwald Livestock Market on 4th Oct,, 1887: — Owing to the recent very severe weather both entries and attendance were far below the average. In fact, business was quite nominal, and very few transactions took place. Good crossbred hoggets made Bs, mixed crossbreds 6s SM, fat lambs 4s and 6s, Fat cows and bolfers, £4 10a to £6 ss. The demand for all stock was weak.
