A most desirable site has been acquired for the Magdalen near Christchurch. 2. His Eminence Gordina! Moran laid th® foundation-stone at 11 Mount Magdala on the 18th February of last year, in th presence of 5000' people,; and the firs portion of the Asylum is nearly com >p|eted., 3. The advantages of the Magdalen will be extended to all New Zealand and else- ' wheire.‘ " ,v ' 4.
