S. 0. Chabitablb Aid Board,—A meeting of this Board was held on Wednesday lest Messrs John Jackson (chairman), John Talbot, D. McLaren, W. M. Moore, B. Elworthy, W. Balfour, R, A, Barker, and Dr Lovegrove being present, The Auditor General wrote stating that be would disallow all expenses outside those of actual travelling expenses incurred by members, and would disallow the expenses of the chairman’s journey to Wellington. After a discussion it was deoided that the chairman should make a statutory declaration of actual expenses, incurred by the journey to Wellington. The Committee reported that the hot water-service at the hospital was complete, but too small. No recommendation was made, and the subject dropped. A number of Charitable Aid cases were dealt with.
