AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Aug, 9. The Melbourne Manager ot the National Mortgage ami Agency Company, Limited, of Now Zealand reports on the local grain market as follows : Shipping Wheat—-There is no material change. Prices are, if anything, weaker. Quotations are 3s 9d -o 3s lid. Malting barley is quieter at 4s 9d to 6s, New Zealand oats, feeding sorts, are in fair demand at 2s lOd to 2s lid. Milling oats are steadv at 2s lid to 3s. New Zealand oats, under bond, are 2s to 2s 2d. Eyegrass is quoted at Is lOd.

ENGLISH MARKETS. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cable rn-ssage from London, dated 6'l) Angos l : Wheat—The market is declining, owing to favorable harvest prospects. Cutting has commenced under favorable circumstances. Adelaide wheat is worth 33s 9d per 49Glbs. Tallow—Fine tallow has declined 6d per cwt. since last report. Quotations for other sorts are unchanged.
