AUCTIONEERS’ REPORT.
GKRALDINB. Messrs J. Mundell and Co. report sales for the week ending Saturday 6tb Aug., 1887, as follows At the Geraldine monthly sale of stock on Wednesday the entry was an average one, and prices considerably improved, in sheep especially. The totals yarded for the day wore 442 sheep, 18 pigs, and 159 bead of cattle.
Sheep—The whole of the sheep penned were sold as follows2 and 4-tooth crossbred ewes and wethers, fat, 13s; crossbred 2-tooths, in forward condition, 10s 6d ; J-back 2-tooth wethers, in forward condition, 9s 6d ; crossbred ewes, in lamb, full mouth, 5s ,10d.
Pigs Bacon sorts, £1 15s ; small stores, 2s 91 to ss. Catile - Cows, fat, £4los to £5 ; 2-year-old steers and heifers, £2, £2 5s to £2 10s ; yearling steers, £1 Os to £l 11 8 ; calves, 13s 6d. ■
