Mr Larnach, Minister for Mines, nddressed his constituents at South Dunedin oo Tuesday night. He said tint the Government were unanimous that borrowing must be limited, and be indicated that the expenditure should be £400,000 a year. Two millions would probably complete necessary works. He contended that the Government had made savings, and quoted the former action of the Opposition leaders to show they were not sincere on retrenchment. He denied that the dissensions in the Cabinet were serious and said all would stand or fall with Sir Julius Vogel. Mr H. is contesting +he lnvercargill seat, advocating Protection and retrenchment.
