Present--31 rank and file, with Oapt. Hay hurst and Lieut*. Findlay and White. Sergt. Major' Jones wu present and exercised the men in company drill. CoNOBBT and Danob.— A conee.t and dance in the Lower Soulh Bangitata sohoolpoom takes place this evening. A first rate \ programme has been arranged, and if the weather is fine the gathering will doubtless be most successful* St. Johk Ambulance Sooikti.—A meetiug of lidies and gentlemen interested in the formation of a branoh of this Society takes place in the Town Board office, Temuka, this evening at 7 30. Some of the best of our looal amateurs hare consented to take part in the concert, and there is no doubt the gathering will be most successful.
Geraldine VoujsTbbb Ba*aak. A meeting of ladies willing to assist at the forth* coming baeaar was held in the library of the Literary Institute, Geraldine, yesterday afternoon. The meeting was a most enthusiastic one, about 40 ladies being present. Mrs Mnjor Moore was unanimously voted to the chair. It was decided to hold a two days' bagaar in the latter end of November and to have six general and one refreshment stall*. After disoussing several matters of detail, it was resolved to hold a meeting that day fortnight. The meeting then adjourned. Football,—<The following will represent
