CHRISTCHURCH HORSE MARKET.
Messrs H. Matson and Co. report :- Last Saturday's horse sale .at Tattersall's was represented by a small entry, the inclemency of the weather immediately preceding, and its disastrous effects, absorbing the attention of farmers for the time being. In plough horses there were not many offering, and the few of this class to hand were mostly past their prime, and not altogether of a desirable description. Any that were of the right, age, etc., found buyers at from £ls to £22103, medium sorts £9 to £l2. Of buyers for plough horses, there were more present than we have noticed for some weeks, but owing to the limited supply, several were unable to meet their requirements. A fair number of hack and light harness horses found buyers at current rates, but the sale, as far as the entry goes, was one of the smallest held for some time.
