While the National Anthem was being sung at Carterton, Wellington, by 700 children, Mrs Eagle, a lady w«ll known all over Wairarapa, fell down in an apoplectic fit. She ia at present in a comatose condition, and is not expected to recover. This sad event cast quite a gloom oyer the district.
