A most desirable site has been Acquired for the Magdalen near Ohristohnrch. 2. His llmlhende OardiD*l Moran laid the foundation-stone at " Mount MagdaU" on the 18th'February of last/ yea>, in the presence of 5000 people, and the first portion of the Asylum is nearly completed. 8. The advantages of the Magdalen will bs extended to all New Zealand and elsewhere. i.
