A match was p‘ yed last Saturday in theTficuka Park bet wean teams chosen from the above schools. Play commenced about 9.45 a.m., and two spel’s cf 45 minutes each were played. Timaru won the toss, and took choice of goal, and Gresvss kicked off for Temuka. The Tennka team wet© very much heavier than tbei opponents, and the ball was kept in 1 the I'imaru 25 near y the whole time. In the first spall the Temuka team secured five tries, but failed to score. In the second sp-11 they got seven tries, with a similar result. Timaru got one try during the whole game by a brilliant run made hy Maokay, and thus Temuka won by 12 points to 1 For Temuka, Austin, McLeod, Qoldstone, Greaves, Findlay, and Henry played spsndidly, and for Tirnaru, McNaught, Maokay, and livino distinguished rhemaeives.
