pleasure and confidence in giving most decided testimony to the personal quali'ies and professional merits of Mr Finlay Belhunt who has held the position of head master in this school for upwards of two years, and now leaves of his own accord for a better appointment. Wo part with him with great reluctance, and regret. We have found Mr Betbune not only a good scholar, whose mind was well cultured, but in every way a devoted and thoroughly excellent teacher, earnest in himself, and capable of infusing equal energy and seal into his pupils. His management and discipline were marked by us much tkill and power as hi* teaching. His kindness of heart and kindliness of manner with hie evident, devotion to duty, won the heart! and gamed the glad obedience of all who enjoyed the advantage of his teaching and superintendence, while his thorough trustworthiness, high principle, and hil earnest, interest in everything that pertained to the prosperity of the school gained our entire confidence and esteem. His whole work is characterised by earnsstness, fidelity, and thoroughness. Ws need hardly add that his moral character is irreproachable. Wa wish him all success, and hereby give him our warm recommendation, as the teachers with whom We could compare him are very few indeed. He has therefore our best wishes for I .-! uturs success.
